Located between Bingil Bay & Garners Beach, Brookes Beach is a tiny bay with a beautiful beach which is as ‘pretty as a picture’ with rocky outcrops at each end and can be reached via a steep road off the Garner Beach Road. It leads to a few houses which have private accesses to the beach and there is also a public access which is used by locals. There is limited parking and no facilities at this secluded little cove.
The Brookes families were the early settlers in this area and this is how the beach derived its name. The beach is 700 m long, bordered by a 40 m high headland and offshore coral reefs and 60 m high Ninney Point to the south. It faces east and waves gently lap the shore.
